I'm using Colegate Fluriogard, alcohol free mouthwashwash. It has extra fluoride in it to give me a boost. It's really mild too for the sensitive mouth. Not sure if you can get it where you are, but it might be on Amazon

The number of people involved in my care (@ a CCC) is humbling. Doctors, nurses, therapists, support staff, & of course, family. With everyone fighting for me to beat cancer the least I can do is fight back and win!

So it’s a good thing that people are sharing info on what they have been using.

I don't know how you folks in radiotherapy manage.
I have been brushing my teeth by using a couple of drops of lavender or tea tree essential oil on my toothbrush. They are anti bacterial, antifungal, antiseptic and most important of all they are slightly analgesic. Just don't swallow it. I also add a few drops to warm water and use that for mouth wash.
It is so much better feeling than mouth wash or toothpaste right now. It helps some with the deathbreath from not being able to brush well due to the pain.
I use a children's toothbrush too. They are very soft and small enough to reach almost everything without too much pain. | | |
