So, I've been having weird symptoms, my pcp brushes it off as chronic sinusitis, which is a nice thought. Only I have risk factors, as well as swollen nodes, sore throat on one side for 2 months, a strange patch in mouth, sore gums around back molars, changes in voice. After 2 months of complaining, i had ultrasound that showed an enlarged, benign node. Have ct with contrast in a couple of days. And of course I am terrified. As I've read here many times, it isn't cancer till they say it is. Even so, I can't calm down. I am so sorry for what all here have been through, am so thankful you are willing to share all the advice I've read here. I am afraid of what I may hear, have fought chronic pain for the last 10 years, not sure I have anything left to fight another battle, or if I even want to. Do my symptoms sound like I have cause for concern?

I'm so sorry to hear you are terrified. It's no easy when your mindtalk is constantly telling you things that you don't know.

All I can say is that you need to find some way of easing your mind whilst you wait for your test and its results. The wait is terrible but until you've had the test then you won't know. We're not Dr's, we're people who have had our own experiences, but it wouldn't be fair on you for us to make an uninformed guess on your diagnosis.

Thank you so much for your kindness. And of course you are right. It's so hard when the doctor thinks you are just being dramatic. And then at times I don't even want to know. Praying for your continued recovery
