Monday I woke up with a strong pain on the side of my tongue, when I touched it I felt a strong pain and a lump, but in the mirror there were nothing visible Tuesday the area was covered with a small white patch, I went to the ENT thus day and he gave me anti fungal medication for 2 weeks
Today the pain and the white patch were almost gone, but I still have the lump, I fell it on the outside of the tongue but I can't see it
Do you think if the lump will go on its own? I'm hypochondriac and really afraid of cancer
None of my friends never had this issue and it's very frustrating to be the only one who face this | | | | Joined: Aug 2018 Posts: 345 Likes: 8 Platinum Member (300+ posts) | Platinum Member (300+ posts) Joined: Aug 2018 Posts: 345 Likes: 8 | the saying around here is this: it's not cancer until it's diagnosed as cancer. Give it time. I've had some scary lumps in my lymph nodes. Doc said the the more you touch it or mess with it, the longer it will be around. Was so true! went away and really was nothing. If it's still around in a couple of weeks, then I would look for a different medical opinion.

I"m a little reassured but i still didnt get any biopsy but i think i should listen to my ent
in 2weeks i"ll see my dentist who is an oral surgeon, i'll will talk to him about that
do you think i should stop worrying ?
I"m really sorry to bother this forum with my problem , most of people here are really dealing with this horrible disease, | | | | Joined: Jun 2019 Posts: 244 Likes: 2 "OCF across the pond" Gold Member (200+ posts) | "OCF across the pond" Gold Member (200+ posts) Joined: Jun 2019 Posts: 244 Likes: 2 | What a relief! I think that your worry was valid but you should find a way to take away the worry as you are trusting your ENT.
