My husband is thankfully 5 years out from his oral cancer battle, doing amazingly well. We'd love to buy long term care insurance, but of course they are still freaking out about his 2012 stage 4 base of tongue cancer diagnosis. Has anyone else been able to buy long term healthcare insurance after surviving their cancer battle? Thank you, Ana

The only way I was able to get covered was through my employer. I was 12 or 13 years out from my first diagnosis and no policies were available as an individual with an oral cancer history

If you are able to find a company that does provide insurance please share.

Thanks and good luck
