Thank you for everything you have done to bring awareness of oral cancer, fund research projects, educate patients, caregivers and the general public. Without all your dedication, foresight and hard work all of us affected by oral cancer would be in so much worse shape. You have personally made such an impact on my life by giving me a reason to get up in the morning. When my life was losing meaning your insight helped turn it around. I can never thank you enough for what you have done for me!!! Im only one of the people you have helped tremendously. So today, on your special day I wish for you to have a great day filled with happiness, good health and fun. Many, many thanks to you, Happy Birthday Brian!!!!

DX Dec '10 SCC BOT T4aN2bM0 HPV+ve.Cisplatin x3 35 IMRT.
PET 6/11 clear.
R) level 2-4 neck dissection 8/1/11 to remove residual node - necrotic with NED
Feb '12 Ca back.. 3/8/12 total glossectomy/laryngectomy/bilat neck dissection/partial pharyngectomy etc. clear margins. All nodes negative for disease. PEG in.
March 2017 - 5 years disease free. Woohoo!

Me -- currently 53 years old
SCC diagnosed 3/7/2017 at age 48
Staging SCC HPV+ T0,N1 primary unknown
PET 3/16, no activity, biopsies 3/23 benign
TORS surgery identified 2mm tumor in BOT (vallecula)
Cancer restaged T1, N2, M0
Begin 30 sessions of radiation (60 Gy) 6/13
Completed radiation 7/24/2017
1st MRI clear 10/23/2017!!
2nd MRI clear 10/17/2018!
