Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 1,128 | Until I started showing signs of allery to the amifostine, they had my take compazine before I came in for the shots and drink an extra liter or more of water on my way in. I had no nausea (not taking any chemo). Unfortunately the allergic signs (redness at shot sites and hives at top of back) started showing up about halfway thru the series.
