We may be dealing with cancer or the many side effects of treatment, but there's no reason why we shouldn't celebrate all the holidays and special days in the year in the same way that we have done.

Wife to John,dx 10/2012, BOT, HPV+, T3N2MO, RAD 70 gy,Cisplatinx2 , PEG in Dec 6, 2012, dx dvt in both legs after second chemo session, Apr 03/13 NED, July 2013 met to lungs, Phase 1 immunotherapy trial Jan 18/14 to July/14. Taxol/carboplatin July/14. Esophagus re-opened Oct 14. PEG out April 8, 2015. Phase 2 trial of Selinexor April to July 2015. At peace Jan 15, 2016.

Thankful here that I got to enjoy another holiday with family and especially the three little grandchildren who are still in awe of dressing up and saying trick or treat ! We did not have any trick or treaters at our house again this year. Our housing area is small with only 22 houses and no little ones that I have seen. But, our son and daughter in law brought over our grandkids ( ages 3, 2, and 1) in costume as a surprise to us. I would not have wanted to miss that for the world !
No matter the residual impact of what we have been through and dealing with, every day given to us is a delight to share with others. Again, Happy Halloween and Happy every day to you too ! And....thank you for reminding us !
Sept 2002 Rt breast cancer no chemo or radiation.
March 2015 Rt tonsil cancer - walnut size lump rt side neck.
March 2015 Scan, biopsy confirm
March 2015 Port, G tube placed, 10 teeth removed.
July 2015 completed 5 chemo/35 radiations
Sept 2015 Cat Scan all clear
July 2016 G tube, port still in place
Ive had Thyroid "graves disease" and Lupus for many years.
4 kidney stone surgeries past 3 mo with over 100 stones still there !
