But I note that they've been developing dark spots that I can't seem to remove. My instinct is to think that these are biological in nature - perhaps bacteria colonies?
I had been using an abrasive cleaner on them but my dental hygienist suggested discontinuing this as it could damage the plastic, and in fact encourage the growth of bacteria.
I can remove most of the toothpaste residue with a firm brushing. But the spots, they elude me.
Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Perhaps that will help, but check with your Dentist first.

Some are flexible and others are rigid. I was told to use a denture tablet on one of them, but don't recall which one. I've also used my water pik to clean them. Check with your dentist to see what they recommend.

I recommend it to anyone with fluoride trays. A couple of overnights with one of those fizzy tabs and the trays were clean.
I'd guess that a once or twice a month application would be all they'll need from this point. The box should last me years!
