I am working with a patient who had a resection of his hard palate and he has been struggling to find someone to make him an obturator to block the hole. It is effecting his speech and swallowing and is very frustrating. I have called many oral surgeons and prosthedontists in the area and none of them provide this service. Please let me know if anyone has any information in regard to this service. | | | | Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 5,264 Likes: 4 "OCF Canuck" Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) | "OCF Canuck" Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 5,264 Likes: 4 | check with your local CCC perhaps and ENT of patient services person can give you a name. have a great day

They should have a list of specialists who offer this service.

Like Cheryl said, I would think that someone on your team, or as Christine stated insurance carriers would have referrals. I have learned as I went through this process that apparently there aren't a lot of folks practicing in some of these type fields, although this seems a little more straight forward to me. All my best! Steve
