Had sugery june 2015 had 2/3 of my tongue removed.  Have a peg tube for my feedings.  had 33 treatments of radiation and 2 treatments of chemo. Was in and out of the hosptial with nausea before getting my feeding pump was doing bolus feeding and couldn't toerate it.  Feeeling great now.  Weight stable getting my strenght back slowly.  Exercising some to  get my strenght back.  Having my first PET scan this month am a little neervous about it.  But I have great doctors at MD Anderson. Scanxiety is a problem we all have. Both Patients and their Caregivers. I will keep all my fingers and toes crossed for a great outcome. Tammy        
Caregiver/advocate to Husband Kris age 59@ diagnosis DX Dec '10 SCC BOT T4aN2bM0 HPV+ve.Cisplatin x3 35 IMRT.  PET 6/11 clear.    R) level 2-4 neck dissection 8/1/11 to remove residual node - necrotic with NED Feb '12 Ca back.. 3/8/12 total glossectomy/laryngectomy/bilat neck dissection/partial pharyngectomy etc.  clear margins. All nodes negative for disease. PEG in.  March 2017 -  5 years disease free. Woohoo!
