Hi everyone, I haven't posted here for several months and because I changed jobs, I had to re-register a new log in name (long, boring story). I use to be Shelley H. Anyway, this Thanksgiving is my husband Ron's one year anniversary of being cancer free! I keep thinking about the scary time we were both going through last year and I'm so thankful for where we are today. My husband Ron is doing great. He's still trying to put on some weight, still has dry throat issues, but doesn't complain because he's so happy to be alive. For all of you going through treatment, hang in there. I know the hell you're going through, but trust me, it does get better. And if anything, it's made us both really appreciate each other and life. We don't take anything for granted anymore and we try to take more time to "smell the roses" if you know what I mean. We even bought a Harley....my husband is thrilled and I'm turning into a Harley Chick! I found this board last year at the end of his treatment, and I can't tell you how much all the people here helped me cope. You are all the BEST and I wish you continued good health and hope you all beat this awful disease.
Love,
Shelley
