HE HASD A PEG PLACEMENT BEFORE HIS TREATMENT STARTED. THE CHEMO WAS BAD AND HE HAS ALREADY LOST 20 LBS EVEN WITH THE TUBE. THE NAUSEA IS WORST THAN WE EXPECTED AND HE HAS 3 MEDS FOR IT?? ANY ONE ELSE WITH SIMILAR CANCER I WOULD LOVE TO TALK TO TOO. | | |

I don't have any experience with that type of cancer. Are you sure he doesn't have SSC in the nasopharynx area? Is he inputting enough cans of food daily along with plenty of water? We all lose weight during treatment and it's essential we input enough to heal from treatment along with maintaining our weight. Is surgery part of his treatment plan? What type of chemo drugs are they giving him and how often? What type of radiation is he receiving? The more knowledge we have the more we can help you with questions you will have.

HE is barely eating. HE had already had a infection of his peg and a yeast infection in the mouth. he lost 16 lbs in the last 2 weeks. We don't know if he will ever get surgery. They are hoping it will shrink away. Everyday is a new challenge and I guess time will tell....... | | |
