My hubby is 6 years NED. Just dealing with long term post treatment issues. He had ostreocranosis right mandible and they replaced with titanium a year ago. During surgery they severed a nerve and he has no feeling in right lower jaw/lip. Dr Marx has scheduled him for implant (into good bone left side, to replace his teeth and also attach a"lip plumper" to the implant on right side to help control the lip and help with drooling. Has anyone had any sort of issue as this and had a device like this put in? We want to be sure it's going to do what it is supposed to do before going through the surgery. Thanks in advance! I have the severed nerve and drool. I'm only a year post surgery so no implants for me. However, I have a partial metal denture on the top and my prosthodontist is making me a denture for the bottom jaw with one tooth on my bad side to provide lip support.
