Debora I am so sorry your husband is going though a tough time right now. My son was 10 when his father got cancer so I know how that is also. Now is the time for you and your boy to bond together for strength and comfort. Know that it will be over soon and he will begin to improve each day. We are here for you.
Blessings and comfort,
Barb~

Hi Debora,

He is going through the toughest part of thje treatment now. I'm surprised he didn't have the PEG inserted before he began. MOST important. You have to be very strong for him. It is hard, but the worst part is right now. After the last radiation, you will start to see some improvement. It may not be right away, but it will come. Thehospital is the best place for him now. I hope he is getting the care he needs.

Hi Deborah,
I tried to send a private post but do not know if it went through.

My husband had his treatment at the Cleveland Clinic and was hospitalized all but two and half of the seven weeks. Dehydration, fevers, etc. The last 2 weeks or so I stayed in the room with him. Pulled my self two chairs together found a couple of pillows, blankets and sheets and made myself at home. Roommate didn't mine. They usually asked me to get them something or in one case the person asked me to call his mother on my cell because he couldn't call from the room.

If you have someone to care for your son, spend the night so you do not have to make the long trips.

We hare a great set of doctors and my husband is almost 10 months out. You probably have at least two of them.

Best wishes,
Teresa

Hi Deborah,
Just wanted to say how lucky your husband is to have your love with him right now. Hang in there, and don't forget to take care of YOU.
