We had small memorial yesterday morning, followed by a birthday party with a bunch of July babies. Lots of laughs and he would have wanted that. One of our July's is also a survivor which made it all the better.
It still chokes me up to think about the past 3 years. The pain remains but gaining some perspective, if that makes any sense.
Enjoy your summers.

As time goes on, the hurt and pain from his passing will get easier to bear. I lost both my parents during my OC journey - my dad in 2006 and my mother in 2012. I still miss them every day, but I now remember the good times and forget about how they suffered towards the end (both had Alzheimers).
Happy Birthday to your Dad - (((hugs))) to you!
