Ok, the kids have laptops, the hubby a laptop, my laptop and desktop have long ago quit working. We have 1 iPad between us and is usually in use around the clock. That leaves me with a sooooooooooper smart phone that is actually pretty amazing. That is how i do ALL my online things, to include this forum. My 'issue' is when i click on certain posts (usually older ones) as i am trying to follow your wonderful advice and read, read, read these forums, some will open and show me the post box, with signature, and all replies, but not the original post. Might this be my use of an android device? Do i need to commandeer the ipad or hubby's laptop? LoL Scratching head here wondering if it is just me? Thanks in advance!

This started when OCF introduced a long-overdue software / server upgrade. Posts that contained certain hidden characters "disappeared" - well, the post box was still there, but not the actual message text. So you will see like you describe the post box and signature, but not the message.
This happened a lot with my posts as I created a lot of them in MsWord and then did a "copy/paste" into the forum dialog box. I was not the only OCF member that did that, so when doing searches you will find a lot of blank messages.
We found out that the messages are actaully still there, but because of certain hidden characters will no longer display.
This was also happening with new posts if the user used copy/paste, or included certain characters.
So I don't believe it is related to the device you are using. I use a laptop, iPad and iPhone to access the forum.

The OCF forum has undergone several major overhauls over the years.
Sorry for any inconvenience!
