I consulted a local doctor and he has prescribed some tablets and a mouth gargler.
Tablets are CLANCEF-AZ, CLEAIR KID, SILRAB-D and the mouth gargler is BOTS REXIDIN. I asked him about this and he replied this could be a fungal infection and can be fully cured. But, i dint stop searching about this in internet.
What i fear is, some of the symptoms i have been facing are as same as for oral cancer. I need someone to clarify my doubt and suggest me some solutions to deal this. | | | | Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 5,264 Likes: 5 "OCF Canuck" Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) | "OCF Canuck" Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 5,264 Likes: 5 | You need to be looked at by an ENT who specializes in Oral cancer if the situation persists or gets worse. Do give it some time to heal. hugs.

You may also be suffering from Googleitis. There are over 150, some say 200, different these of HPV, most benign, like causing warts, and about 14 are high risk type that can go on to cause cancer. The most prevalent in the head and neck is HPV-16, to a lesser extend HPV-18, occurring mainly in the oropharynx in the tonsils and base of tongue, 90% of the time, in about 1% of those infected with the virus, as most clear the virus in two years. There is no rapid test for oral HPV-16, other than from DNS tissue sample from a biopsy, but there are DNA saliva spit tests, like OraRisk, and oral brush scrapings, which may not be widely used, and or accurate. http://www.oralcancerfoundation.org/HPV/Good luck

Put in enough symptoms and even a 75 year old man could be diagnosed as being pregnant. Try to avoid using Dr Google. As far as HPV goes, only thru a biopsy would that be determined. But the sample is not always routinely tested for HPV and there is no other way to check for this virus. The majority of the population will at some time in their adult lives develop HPV+. Most patients bodies can clear the illness without doing anything at all. Only a very small percentage will have their HPV continue on to become something serious like oral cancer, anal cancer, penile cancer, cervical cancer or genital warts. Only a few of the hundreds of strains of HPV will cause any serious problem. Most often HPV presents no signs or symptoms. HPV will run its course without any treatment unless it is one of the few problem strains and that strain has continued on to create one of the above named diseases. If you are aged 12 - 26 thru a series of 3 Guardisil vaccinations can you protect yourself from the cancer causing strains of HPV. This can be obtained thru your family physician. What is going on in your mouth, an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) specialist who specializes in oral cancer should be able to determine. I hope what is going on with you is nothing serious. Best wishes!
