Now I am have having pain way in the back of my tongue where the flap would attached to my tongue, toward the back of my mouth. I am concerned as I am 4 years out and haven't had this problem before. It is like there is stringy flesh coming off of my tongue or flap. Could it be a new sore that I can't see? Should I be worried? Has any glosectomy/flap people out there experiance this?

I would have it checked out. It's likely nothing. But better safe than sorry. It could just be dead flesh... I've never had that happen but someone else might have. Regardless - it can't hurt to have it checked out and it will put your mind at ease. hugs!

Call your doc and get them to check you out thoroughly. Especially if you are now in pain, better to be safe.
