I'm now 5.5 months post surgery and nearly 3 months post radiation/chemo treatment finishing. About 10 days ago I started getting a bit of a cold and noticed a swollen lymph node on my left side (neck dissection was on the right side). Thought it was just related to the cold.
The cold never eventuated and I've been feeling normal except the swollen node is still there, maybe even slightly larger, and I've got a sore throat on the inside kind of equivalent to where the node is.
I'm going to call the doctor on Monday to get it checked out but it would be lovely to hear some of your experiences with things like this - good or bad!
Thanks, Mel.

The only way they can really say if it's cancer or not is by a direct biopsy or FNAB or if it clears up. Good luck.

Allow the testing and review process to take it's course. Possibility this is Lymphedema associated with ND and radiation. You have come too far. Work through this and stay focused on recovery. Which by the way is coming along well?

However you should of course have the docs check it. I am the same way with every bump or ache. I am just starting this journey but I have found exercise and getting out of the house takes my mind off everything. Good luck and congrats on being a survivor.
