Joined: May 2009 Posts: 1,412 | Have any of your oncos ever ordered chest CT scan or bone scans? My MO has ordered both for me. He says those are some of the places it can come back. I was going to opt out of the bone scan, but because i have been having jaw pain I figured it wouldnt hurt.

The jaw pain could be caused by many different things. Try not to read too much into the tests. I think they are a good idea to get. You will know you are okay after having them done and can relax. I sure hope its nothing serious causing the pain.

Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 5,264 Likes: 4 | I've had 3 chest cts - one at dx, one after surgery, and one a year ago. I think it should be done once. After a clear head ct. Just to be on the safe side. My drs said no more unless there is reason to suspect a problem - too much radiation. Hugs

Chemo/rad on hold due to clear margins and nodes
Sept 21/13 clear CT with anomaly thought to be the artery, being watched closely.
Dec 16/13 - anomaly confirmed artery, all clear
