So, I have been having a few issues lately. I now have a new issue that has been there a few weeks. Went to see the dentist this morning to have him look at it. He said it did not look pretty, and looked really unhealthy. He said it was disolored and was being pulled away from my tooth. Told me to get back to my specialist ASAP. He said it could be side effects of rads or possible recurrence. I have a call into my ENT and my RO. My RO said they would probably refer me to an oral surgeon since it is on the gums. I know I have been here before, but hearing the word recurrence sent me over the edge. Now my Favortie RO nurse reminded me that it could very well be necrosis due to rads. I am very well aware of that, just not feeling very hopeful right now. So I have made all the phone calls I can make, havent yet called my PCP, but he may be able to get the ball rolling. My ENT was in surgery when I called this morning, so I will have to wait on him until tomorrow.. I know it is not CANCER UNTIL THEY SAY IT IS.

Im so sorry to hear you are worried. You are right, keep repeating it until you relax...its NOT cancer until the biopsy says it is. Discoloration is not all that unusual with everything you have been thru. It could be all kinds of things besides what we all fear the most... a recurrence. Even with this area being like that for a few weeks, it would still be caught super early IF it would be cancerous.

Hang in there, get checked out. Hope its nothing serious!!!
