Donna
You sound prepared and glad you are upbeat...do use the lotion liberaly Bob is a fair skinned Irishman and Biofine??? worked to keep his skin only lightly sunburned...use the cream religiously I swear it made his skin better than before treatment....as far as the taste thing goes he sends his real sympathy on the pepsi and the chocolate thing his was coca cola and hersheys with almonds still not fun 7 months out...he is now a snapple fiend supplemented with lots of coffee(good thing Santa brought him a cappacino machine)part of the new normal... Rest as much as you feel the need and you can get...tired is very much part of the deal. The treatment is cumulative and so also goes the reaction. Search these boards for any thing you feel you need to know or just ask. The worst for Bob was when he finally needed real pain meds about 2/3rds into treatment..he had to fight to get them and then when he did he was better able to cope but he had constipation that would have felled a horse...the senekot advice we got here was truly a saving grace...along with the soft food ideas...good luck and keep us posted wishing you all the bestest to beat this thing...Denise

The lotion is Biafine and it is terrific. Also good for healing deep wounds, like scar from neck disection. It cannot be used on open sores. It is presciption so you need one form the doc. Try to fit in some time for exercise, even it it ony a walk around the block. Helps to keep the muscle tone if you start losing weight.

Take care,
Eileen
