Well Survivor39 I too have lymphedema and like you I have little to no pain over it. But just by chance I was visiting OCF this morning to check and see just how swollen one can become with this Lymphedema. my seems to be spreading. and is actually starting to fill into the back of my neck and going up from there. And my neck is as hard as a brick wall. Perhaps you may know something about it. But in answer to your Question,I think it depends of the individual and whether their are pain receptors close by. Sorry that is my best shot. Shawn.

3/14/2014 given 2 weeks, 3 maybe. All the veins in my head are slowly leakinging due to Ehlers Danlos syndrome. lucky thing is that my spinal fluid leaking out my nose is slowing the build up of pressure in my huge, huge head. you would not believe.

Hi Survivor,

I have a bit of lymphedema. It's like a golf ball sized lump under my chin. Just a full feeling and not painful. Worse in the mornings after sleeping.

I had two custom chin slings made while in treatment and they help but are uncomfortable to sleep in. I just deal with it as it's not too bad at all. It should resolve by about a year out.

Hello survivor, my lymphedema is definitely uncomfortable near my neck incision area. I think the swelling is stretching skin that's barely healed from surgery. Last week one of the oncology nurses told me to start gently massaging it. Hope yours calms down soon!
