I have come up with nothing, but I'm sure there is someone who can help me on this site. They seem to be more knowledgeable than the nurses o spoke with which read my pathology report. "Hyperplasia is increased cell production in a normal tissue or organ. Hyperplasia may be a sign of abnormal or precancerous changes. This is called pathologic hyperplasia.
It can also be due to the growth of completely normal cells. This is called physiologic hyperplasia."
I'm so happy for you that your biopsy didn't diagnose cancer, that's definitely good news!

Please stop making similar posts on new threads. Ive deleted 2 other threads all saying the same thing. When posting, its only necessary to make one post about something. Members will get there. Not to minimize your situation but please remember what this forum is all about, oral cancer and there are some very sick people out there who desperately need our help. When making duplicate posts it takes our time to go thru them and reply which means we could miss another members post which may be a life or death situation. Age 58 at Dx, HPV16+ SCC, Stage IV BOT+2 nodes, non smoker, casual drinker, exercise nut, Cisplatin x 3 & concurrent IMRT x 35,(70 Gy), no surgery, no Peg, Tx at Moffitt over Aug 06. Jun 07, back to riding my bike 100 miles a wk. Now doing 12 Spin classes and 60 outdoor miles per wk. Nov 13 completed Hilly Century ride for Cancer, 104 miles, 1st Place in my age group. Apr 2014 & 15, Spun for 9 straight hrs to raise $$ for YMCA's Livestrong Program. Certified Spin Instructor Jun 2014.
