I looked her up on their website and confirmed that she is in network for my insurance. Can you request a specific doctor at Moffit and do you need a referral from a physician to get an appointment there? Trying to get my ducks in a row since I will be meeting with Dr Anderson at Boissoneault in Ocala on Wednesday and anticipate getting a second opinion. Thanks, Walt. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 10,507 Likes: 8 Administrator, Director of Patient Support Services Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) | | Administrator, Director of Patient Support Services Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 10,507 Likes: 8 | Walt, its up to your insurance company if you need referrals. Ive had some companies who insisted on a referral for every little thing and others who I didnt need a referral for anything.

I believe she deals with Prostrate cancers? It depends on who they would want you to see first, an ENT or a RO. If they want you to see an ENT first and you can request, my favorite is Tappan Padhya but Judy McCaffrey is excellent as well. ON the RO side I would ask for Andy Trotti. He has published articles on IMRT and has done studies on HPV.

Check that...she is listed in the Head and Neck Department on Moffitt's website so maybe she is new to the department???
Walter, you might check for in-network facilities rather than specific in-network docs....sometimes there is blanket coverage for specific specialty facilities.
