Sorry you had to find us, but we will help as much as possible. Where is your husband's secondary tumor located? Is it in the same place as the first or a whole new location? Did he have IMRT rad? How many treatments? Has a biopsy been performed on the secondary site or is it just "suspicious" activity? We can help you more if we have more information. Meanwhile, will pray for comfort for you and your husband and family.

#16757 12-31-2004 11:54 AM | Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 18 Member | OP Member Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 18 | my husband had an mri scan and biopsy which showed a recurrence of a tumour also in tounge but larger and deeper, not visable in mouth, he has already had rad, and toungue flap, is on intrevenous fluids at mo to keep his mouth sterile, to heal biopsy, will find out later in month what they will do next, am wondering what that might be? good wishes to you all, charm

Diagnosed May 2002 with Stage IV tongue cancer, two lymph nodes positive. Surgery to remove 1/2 tongue, neck dissection, 35 radiation treatments. 11/2007, diagnosed with cancer of soft palate, surgery 12/14/07, jaw split. 3/24/10, cancer on tongue behind flap, need petscan, surgery scheduled 4/16/10 ---update passed away 8-27-11---
