I notice white blsiters appearing on the side of my tongue (right) and now on top? I read "somewhere" that may indicate new functioning salivary glands? Does not look like Candida as there is no white patches on the tongue; I am a periodontist and see Candida now and again! I am taking no meds other than Aleve for the sore (still!) throat. I am not yet eating but am "wolfing" down 3 Nestle hi calorie protein shakes/day with Chinese herbs and zinc and turmeric and green tea. I open the capsules and sprinkle the powders into the shakes. Does anyone have these darn blisters? Remedies?

Just taking a guess that it could be herpes simplex vurus, HSV, brought out by treatment, candidal leuckoplakia with raised, white, or speckled (mixed white, red) plaques, salivary gland dysfunction, speckled leukoplakia.
Good luck. Maybe they can do a throat culture. Good luck.

Always ask your doctor or nutritionist prior to using as some could cause problems with medications or other treatment things. I seem to recall something with zinc but I cant remember exactly what if it was ok to use or a no-no.
I would check with your doc about the sores. Remember the radiation is still continuing to work so it could be from that. Zinc is a metal after all...
