so this morning i woke up with this huge lump on my jaw line on the left hand side by the corner of my bottom lip, i felt it since yesterday but this morning its swollen and painful, its a little red i just had a neck ct and nothing showed up.. what could this be?? "ingrown hair"? "cyst"? another thing to worry about now smh..

Could be all those things mentioned. Bring it to the attention of your doctor or go to the ER if you get a fever above 102 or have red streaks coming from it, is large, find others. Usually antibiotics are given to see if it resolves it or gets smaller, or under other conditions may want it removed right away. Even a cyst or abscess, can cause further complications, fever, go systemic, even travel to the brain, other organs. I had one surgically removed one month prior to cancer from my face, and that had MRSA, probably hospital acquired, and was in the hospital for 20 days, since it also went systemic. After that, I changed by razors frequently, used disposable ones instead. Also, look at your immune system, I have diabetes, so it's easier to get infections, have delayed healing. Idk, if you mentioned having a full blood work up, like complete blood count, complete metabolic count, plus others the doctor desires, to see if anything is out of range or abnormal.

THANK YOU PAUL... i have no idea whats going on with me 1 month ago i got tested for std's and hiv and everything came back negative and i also had a fisical and blood work done and my doctor told me everything was fine with my blood work and my sugar levels are fine, i know im not going crazy , it seems like when things are starting to get better another thing pops up, im only 27 years old i want to move on with my life and leave this behind but its not happening.. this lump on my jaw is big, raised and it hurts when i touch it or press it, its right on the bone line and its red, so far no fever..
