There is a million things it could be other than cancer. Other than worry yourself to stavation, you have done the right things. The first step is to see an ENT, Done. Next, biopsy, done. Results will take a week. I am not a doctor but my cancer was HPV and from what I know most HPV cancers are tonsil and base of tongue. Now go outside and stay off doctor Goggle. Your Doctor will call you. At that time you and your doctor will set up a treatment plan whether its cancer or not. Worring does not effect anything so stop it.

Being exposed to HPV does not mean you will get cancer, only a very small minority will for unknown, contributory reasons. It could be anything like suggested, tooth rubbing, abscess, infection, and the brush biopsy will be helpful in determining cancer or not, but not the best type of biopsy to do, like incisional or punch, but it's pretty accurate. Try to stay away from Dr. Google, and let the real doctor handle this, who is best qualified in diagnose or post a question here to clarify any questions. Good luck with the results.

I know you are very scared. But please do yourself a big favor and calm down. You are afraid of the unknown. At this point you have dont everything right (except for too much internet self-diagnosing). When the biopsy results come back in about a week then you will know for certain what exactly is going on in your mouth. Worrying wont change the test results, it will only make you feel worse. Until then stay busy and enjoy the nice spring weather. It probably is just irritation caused by your tooth, that sounds like a very good explanation from what you have written.

It is a completely normal and understandable response to fear. If humans didn't fear death, we would just walk in front of cars without thought! It is a self preservation response and completely normal.
Having said that - being afraid of a mammoth approaching you quickly is a lot different than being frightened of something that "might someday" happen. Christine is exactly right. Get control of the fear - you do NOT have a woolly mammoth bearing down on you, so it is okay to relax. Take a deep breath, drop your shoulders, and look around you. Go out and enjoy the spring day. Be in the present.
Hugs and let us know about the biopsy results. We are here for you.
