you have had lots if good advice, maybe the Shake recipe would be good while his mouth is healing.
I dont know if you have seen it on the board elsewhere but just incase you have not.

1 tablespoon Carnation
1 tablespoon Ovaltine
1 Package carnation instant breakfast
1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 cup half n half
2 cups any flavour ice cream
around 1350 calories.

Hi Amy, just got back here after about a month, I am older than you but just went through all of this with my mom. It was so scary for me at first, and then when the treatments all started,it was like jump into gear and get it done. she was diagnosed end of april and all summer was treatments, chemo and radition. so i kindof know how you feel right now. on a much brighter note, everything is going well and we are just looking at improvements everyday! if you ever want to email me feel free.
