Hey Christine..Well he said "patch" was a wrong word used by me (!)He saw it and said it's not a patch..He said it was a bit like of a "white coating"..He saw it since it's right in the middle of my tongue..Should i get a second opinion?

What did he say the coating was? A 'coating' sounds much better than a 'patch'!

I would just follow up with the doc again in 2 weeks if it isnt gone.

He didn't specify! Just said it's normal and then used a scope to check everything..He did ask me about pain/bleeding and if i have a habit of biting my tongue (!)He asked that cause he saw an injured area on the side of my tongue at the very back! Will see him again in 2 weeks then! Thanks Christine..You've been very helpful..God bless.

If the patch at the back is not gone in two weeks have the dr. keep a close eye on it. To me that sounds more concerning than the patch - ;o) and whatever you do... if you habitually chew your tongue or bit it.. STOP. ;o)

Hey Cheryl..He said it looks like an injury (the one at the very back and along the side of my tongue)He saw the white "coating" as he called it but failed to say what it was..Didn't seem worried about it..Will see him in two weeks and press him more..Thank you Chetyl smile

One more thing, the one at the back of my tongue was very hard to see..Had to stick my entire tongue out to see it!
