He has had massive sores on his tongue that have been slow in healing but the drs feel it is due to his taking Prednisone for his previous bout with Sarcoidosis so they aren't overly concerned.
His cheeks having been gradually swelling and his Oncologist told him (Monday)his "chipmunk cheeks" were related to his lymph nodes and his ENT would address it....no other info offered...even when asked. Fortunately, he has an appointment with his ENT this afternoon and will get more information then. Has anyone had this experience with this? Thanks. - k

Combination of lymph drainage, swelling from surgery, and taking prednisone, which is known for causing a Moon Face. Once the drug is stopped, lymphs drain, and surgery site heals, it may subside, but maybe not completely. There may be swelling later on in the submental area, where fluids will settle. causing a turkey neck, in some. Good luck with the doctor.
