Hi All!
I want to reintroduce myself. Its now been 3 years (yes!) since I finished my treatment for reoccurance of tongue cancer. This board helped me a tremendous amount. I haven't posted or read messages in some time. I'm not sure why, its probably because I've been trying to get back to some type of "normal" life again and find I have so little energy that when I take on one thing I have to let something else go. However, I have greatly missed OCF and I've decided that I really need to spend some time here.

be seeing you! (in print anyway)

Hello Ilene

It is wonderful to read that after 3 years you are back and feeling better. I find the board interesting and supportive, look forward to seeing more from you. Was your second neck dissection on the same side?

Hello Neighbor! Good to hear from you.

As a tongue cancer battler, it's GREAT and INSPIRING to see someone with initial diagnosis of 1987 still kicking strong!!!

Hi Ilene,

Great to hear you're doing so well after 3 years of battling this dreadful disease. I had a total glossectomy in July 2003 and your note and survivorship is such an inspiration to me! Keep up the good work and please don't be a stranger - it's good to see you're back!

Ilene,

Welcome back to this site. If you haven't been here in awhile, I'm sure you see some pretty dramatic growth in numbers and content in the meantime. Please share your experiences whenever you can.
