What dissapointment! I often considered lying if I had no one to pick me up lol. I hope someone did find the phone, so give the hospital another call, and hope everything work out for you.

I had similar feeling at the start with hospital bureaucracy, like trying to find the one door in the whole building that lets you in. then once you do get in, there is a list stuck on the door. everyone running around, nobody stopping to help.

after a day or two that, the light went on real quick for me and that is you are driving and better figure out what that list means and start chasing ppl down to ask questions and organize and make things happen.

you can do it, u done it before, maybe just forgot what a PIA it can be. good thing is once you land on each small pod of care everyone is wonderful and caring, just need to find your destinations and get off the freeway. -)
