Congratulations for your baby boy! There are different ways to deliver "Boost" or supplemental radiation, along with other radiation fraction techniques. I had a boost dose radiation during my surgery with IORT before having the standard fraction radiation treatment later on. A concomitant boost, an off shoot of hyperfractionized radiation treatment, 2 times daily, means a 2nd, smaller dose, 6 hours after the first is given usually the last 2 weeks of treatment This field-within-field technique to increase dosage to a smaller field to improve control rate, but doesn't sound like you are having it 2x daily, and just having a boost dose after accelerated radiation treatment. The body recovers before the next radiation session in some aspects, and having it only to the tumor site now will allow the others areas to recover more sooner.
I'm 25 percent what I was pre-cancer in certain aspects, and lost 110 pounds from chemo, but gained back 40 since. I'm going back to physical therapy next week after a 8 month break, and had it before that when I had to learn to walk again, so yes, it's helpful, but check on any Limitations from your doctors, and most require a prescription, which tells them the scope of PT. Some larger rehab institutions have you evaluated by their own doctors. My therapist doesn't work on both parts of body during the same session, lets say neck area, and then move on to the legs. They only do one area at a time, but some exercises do crossover. Good luck with everything.
