While HPV+ is the fastest rising group of oral cancer patients, smoking and drinking still continue to cause too many to get oral cancer. Smoking and drinking are a choice and this is preventable. On Thursday, help your friends and relatives to kick the habit for good. Give them the phone number for 1 800 QUIT-NOW for help in quitting. There is help out there! At East Stroudsburg University I will be speaking about the dangers of smoking. Im telling the story of my battle 3 times with oral cancer hoping it will help others to realize the dangers of tobacco. There will also be free oral cancer screenings and The Oral Cancer Foundation will have an information booth staffed by myself and Susan Mushock. Anyone in the area, please stop by to say hello!
