The road ahead is very hard and I'm sure a lot of us contemplated, at some point, just quitting but a strong family and good friends help us through as do the friends we make on this forum. Surround yourself with the strength of family and friends and you can do just about anything.

Welcome to OCF. This is a wonderful place filled with people who have experienced many different diagnoses of Head and Neck cancer. Treatment is tough but so worth it. Where are you being treated?
If you will give us some more information, I am sure there will be many who will respond. At the top of this page you will see "My Stuff". Click on that and on the left side of the page you'll see "Profile." Click on that and fill out the info. It will help all of us to get to know you better and familiarize us with your situation.
There is tons of info on this site, too. Knowledge is power and the more you know, the better you can deal with this awful disease.
My best to you! Anita

Welcome... Very sorry you have to be here. I lost my mom to lung cancer I know it's hard. Location wise it sounds like you may have an advanced base of tongue cancer. Ask to be tested for HPV - it will help when it comes to deciding on treatment. We've all been through this in some way or another, you can get through it to. Ask any questions you may have the people here will try to help and answer.
