Take more Miralax, or just go for the gusto and take Milk of Magnesia. They have some non cramping stuff now and my 87 year old mom is having success after her surgery. Don't wait too long though. Yes I can eat solid. Today went to my moms and she had baked chicken, no salt or pepper, I chopped up a fair size piece, and ate it, also she made me an egg runny (like I like) and that was good, and creamy mashed potatoes. Also creamed corn but could not get the shells of the corn down. Corn is out. I did use the magic mouthwash. Then I did drink a can of the Jevity. Think I will just do 2 cans tonite. Trying to stay off the surgar as the thrush is what I think my other problem is.

I will drink more water and put more water thru the tube, because even water burns sometimes due to the Thrush.
I will start both Miralax and Milk of Magnesia tonite! Don't really feel as bloated as the other day.
Thanks EveryOne!

In fact many including myself have used the fentanyl patch for pain. It was so much easier and provided a steady dose of the pain meds. The doc can give yo a prescription for it. The patch lasts 72 hours before it needs to be changed. It will take about 24 hours to kick in when you first put it on. If you get the patch, read and follow the directions to the letter. No long hot steamy baths or showers or it can release too much medicine. Never cut, tear or fold the patch. Then your doc can give you some liquid pain meds for any breakthru pain.
Have you tried pineapple juice or karo syrup yet? They really will work for the little c. Just to warn you, karo syrup is sugar and you mentioned trying to avoid it right now.
Sounds like you are doing very well with eating and drinking, keep up the good work!!!! Never even considered it (I detest vinegar). You are very creative!
Keep rinsing with the salt, baking soda and warm water. That should help to get the ph back to normal in your mouth. My doc told me to eat lots of plain yogurt too. I never would have thought they had that much acid, but Kevin said they were just awful. Go easy using Miralax AND Milk of Magnesia....it will work, but you may need to camp in the bathroom!! ;o) Kathy

If it were not for the thrush I wouldn't be doing too bad. I see both the RA OC and the MD OC tomorrow and will press the subject...
I just took 1/2 dose of MilkofMagensia with the Miralax.
I will continue to rinse and that is really the best thing right now.
Thanks you guys and the wonderful forum.
