The past 2 weeks have been very hectic and hence the delayed post. The other specialist doctor checked my father on Tuesday (7/10) and suggested to have the surgery performed at the earliest. Per his recommendation, we were able to locate another specialist surgical oncologist and my father underwent surgery on 7/13. Currently he is still in the hospital and is recovering slowly. Hopefully the radiation treatment may start after 3 weeks from now as per the doctor.

Recovery from this surgery may seem daunting, but from what I've seen firsthand with my mom as well as what I've heard on here, he will heal quicker than you'd expect.
Sending positive thoughts to you and your dad...

Sorry it has been a long time since I have got back on this forum. Work and continuous travel had kept me completely occupied throughout the last month. My father's radiation courses have started and he is undergoing them currently. 25 radiation sessions have been suggested and it has been about 3 days since radiation therapy has started. So far he has been able to go through this ordeal and hope he goes through all this treatments without any issues.. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Thanks and Regards, Sid.

I am sure that between her and the professional staff, he will receive excellent care. I know that you will also be supportive of your mother. Please take care of yourself, as well. All the best, Maria
