Thank you all for your posts; they have been very helpful and encouraging, which I need as I "look forward to" rad and chemo (cisplatin) for tongue cancer on 8/20. Thank you.

I would dab it on with a q-tip before eating, and it made it more bareable. The gel burned a bit when I first put it on, but once it started to numb up it felt better. Good luck!!

I swished it around and held it in my mouth for longer and longer periods as the sores in my mouth got worse. Dunno the mixture that Emily writes about, maybe it's even better (?). Anyway I recommend you speak with your RO about it.
