We are not ENT's here so we really can't tell what procedure, if any, may be recommended. I had thought you were going to a different ENT? I saw 5 different docs and got 5 different treatment plans before I decided which way to go. My concern is if this ENT didn't see anything wrong the first time will he be more inclined to read his previous notes and reach the same conclusion leaving you to wonder just as much as you do now. Presently HPV can only be tested (orally) once cells have been confirmed as cancerous.

I do want to see a different ENT but I can't afford (at the moment) the cost of going to one that isn't covered under my insurance frown

I'm going to make an appt with the same one because it's the quickest thing I can do at the moment. I could wait until I've saved enough, then see a different one.. but hopefully I can demand/convince my current ENT to at least do a biopsy on the things back there. I saw him 6 months ago, so he should at least have some sort of medical curiosity why they are still there (i'm hoping)

If he refuses to do any sort of testing, then I will go from there.. it's just the only real option I have on the table currently.

I did a bit more research, and I found something that looks EXACTLY like what my lumps look like.. it's called "chronic granular pharyngitis" Not saying this is what I have, but at least it's something to start with?

We'll see!

What about going to an oral surgeon for the biopsy? That's who my son's dentist referred him to when he had a suspicious lump under his tongue.
