Joined: Aug 2009 Posts: 207 | Is a neck node lump the size of a 50c peice meant to be hard or soft? Rods oncologist said it was full of calcuim and no hot spot showing on scans....but I felt it tonight and it is hard...is this right?.....there is no pain when I feel it.....

Age 58 at Dx, HPV16+ SCC, Stage IV BOT+2 nodes, non smoker, casual drinker, exercise nut, Cisplatin x 3 & concurrent IMRT x 35,(70 Gy), no surgery, no Peg, Tx at Moffitt over Aug 06. Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 5,264 Likes: 5 | I kinda said something similar on FB. Now if it has been there all along and is stable and the dr says its calcium and not a hot spot then that's a good thinkg the concern would be if there was a change in it. But definitely have it looked at. Hugs!
