According to quackwatch, it has killed patients who have sought it out to cure cancer and AIDS. The only known cures for cancer at this time are surgery, radiation and chemo. There are many things being developed but they are not available at this time. quackwatch, cesium chloride

Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 10,507 Likes: 7 | Please tell your friend what I wrote above about the only real cures for cancer. Especially oral cancer which chemo by itself doesnt cure. Too many people dont understand how serious cancer can be and think its easily fixed which sometimes it is. Others will reach out grasping for straws trying to find an easy cure which there isnt one. Help your friend by explaining things to them so if it ever happens to them or someone close in their family they wont go running off after false cures.

I've asked the moderators to delete the link to the quack cure in your post. While I'm glad to see that you now recognize this as a cruel scam on cancer patients, search engine bots can link trash like this to the OCF forum.
It's fine to ask about well meaning but uniformed friends "cures" but you only need mention the fake medicine or protocol without giving an internet link that retransmits the fake information or article. A Google search always turns these up since these doctors who prey on cancer patients want to get the most coverage possible and the most victims, so we don't need the link to expose it.
I was bombarded with similar articles and even packages of the fake cures from colleagues and friends so I'm empathetic here. But I am also emphatic that such links should not be on the OCF forum. If there is ever a major breakthru or even a hint of one, you can count on the OCF news feed to have it.
Even if it's years and years from being available to everyone, OCF news feed will report it, as they have done for geonome sequencing and other new avenues.
Thanks for making sure that no other OCF members or readers are fooled by this scam. As my Torts professor taught us in Law School: It never hurts to ask.

Thank you for being so understanding about my monomaniacal aversion to such links. It looks like you edited it yourself, so double thanks. Since each time someone clicks on it, those web sites make money from advertisers, it's like donating to the fraudsters when a link like that stay up. Plus that site extolled the usual fantasy that there have been many secret cures for cancer that were squashed by a Big Pharm/doctor/hospital conspiracy. EricS and I got off to a rocky start when he even mentioned that calumny. As though anyone would not want the eternal gratitude of the world, not to mention fame and fortune, for actually finding a cure other than the current barbaric surgery, radiation and chemo.
