June 18th will be 2 years since my surgery, every time I eat or drink anything I have to blow my nose, this has been happening ever since the feeding tube was removed. We have no clue why.
Female- Age 49, Non-smoker, I Had 6 weeks of rad/30 treatments, No Chemo. 1/2 of my tongue had to be removed as well as Lymph Nodes. Surgery was 11 & 1/2 Hours long. 40 Lymph Nodes where removed, only one was cancerous. My Motto since my diagnoses- It's All In The Attitude!!!

Mine runs! I also have post nasal drip. It's definitely because of the radiation damage to the membrabpnes bout maybe because you are also drinking and some fluid goes up?

Ive seen many others here who have it too. My doc told me it was post radiation sinus damage. For me, it isnt just when I eat or drink. Its like I have a head cold 24/7, Im always congested. I take singulair most days and also benedryl to help with the congestion. I must say with surgery only I had the opposite. I could not feel if there was something in my nose that needed attention for around a full year so used to blow it from time to time just in case. Sorry to be gross but best done in the shower when the steam was working for me. I also remember it being very difficult to cough properly for a long time. Coughing was part of my life before surgery (smokers cough...gave up days before )! There a few other odd little things that lasted for quite a while after surgery

He has to carry a rag OR papertowel or napkin to catch it. I'm used to it and we joke bout using the grandkids Sesame Street Bibs that pull over head. But does anybody else drool? I hear alot of folks being dry but not him he's got enough to share! I know Gross Sue He can't swallow while he is talking with his flap I guess is why he drools and it's a good thing he has saliva but it makes him nuts. I've never asked bout this nor heard of anybody else drooling. So anybody else?

I tried it yesterday and my flapping lip just let it run back down my shirt. Keep up the good work.

I carry a supply of kleenex, which I buy by the 10 pack at Sam's Club plua a couple of handerkerchefs too. I drip everywhere and had to cover my carpet with thro rugs. Some of the drool has to be acidic as I burned holse in one of my shirts from the drool landing on it. Good luck and Ron seems to be doing good with it,.

Most of them do one thing.. Whatever their job is - radiation, surgery, or chemo - to try and cure you. And they leave it at that. Ask about nutrition and fall out and they don't see beyond what their part in all this is.
Hugs!
