It has me worried. I'm do for a scan at MHG anyway and will be going in the next week probably but I was wondering if anyone had any input concering post TX ear pain. Thanks

Lump in left side neck discovered Sept 2009 Misdiagnosed & FNA inconclusive Large lymph node removed Nov. 2010 SCC and HPV16 pos PET pointed tonsilectomy Feb. 2011 1ml tumor left side tonsil Rads scheduled March 14th 2011. 2X36 GY's (72) CarboTaxol once a week X 4 or 5 starting 4/5/11 No PEG

Not all the time - if it's continuous have it looked at but rads causes fibrosis of the muscles, etc. so there are ocassionally some tender area. Ear paini find sometimes happens when I drink something, I think my swallow is off and it sometimes backwashes into my ear canal... Or you may just have an ear infection... Definitely have it checked out. Hugs - hopefully its nothing.

Good luck with your scan. I have been there with the earpain. I pray it is nothing. I know the feeling. my last scan was not clear due to radiation. Next scan May 4th. Waiting is the hardest part. Again my thoughts are with you.
Ilyse 46 non smoker non drinker. SCC stage 2 in 1999 and 2010. Recurrence 2011. Stage 4. Modified neck, thyroid cancer found. 7 weeks IMRT/Chemo cisplatin. Aug - Sept 2011. 2012 shwanna tumor on right auditory nerve. Not Cancerous only 20% removed. Wll do Gamma knife.

Please dont panic yet! Scar tissue can be a tricky thing and sure play some tricks on you making you think something is alot more serious than it is. Hope you can find some relief very soon.
