Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 291 | I corresponded with Liza early on as we were both early in our treatment. I really liked her, and it made me so sad when all those diseased lymph nodes were discovered. She obviously had a very aggressive cancer. We will never know how much more aggressive treatment to match the aggressive cancer would have helped.
Very sad again . . . but she is out of pain and in peace.

Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 5,264 Likes: 5 | Try not to worry... 57 is a lot and they were clear that's great. Just keep an eye out for any kind of rash on your neck and any other nodes popping up. If something does worry you call your dr. Period. Do not wait. Hugs - it will be fine.

History Leukoplakia bx 8/2006 SCC floor mouth T3N0M0- Verrucous Carcinoma.
14 hour 0p SCC-Right ND/excision/marginal mandibulectomy 9/2006, 4 teeth removed, flap from wrist, trach-ng 6 days- no chemo/rad.
6 ops and debulking (flap/tongue join) + bx's 2006-2012.
bx Jan 2012 Hyperkeratosis-Epithelial Dysplasia
24cm GIST tumour removed 8/2013. Indefinite Oral Chemo.
1/31/16 passed away peacefully surrounded by family
