Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 38 | Well, I'm not officially in recurrence but after having some pain for a month or so, I went to my ENT today who said there is a spot on my right tonsil that is also swollen.
Biopsy is scheduled for a week from Wednesday.

I had a swollen mark near where my tonsils used to be, and my surgeon was watching in on a 2 week basis when lo and behold it healed on its own. Nothing since then, and clear CT. So do try not to worry and we will pray for it to be just a throat minor injury. Keep us posted.

CG to husband - SCC Tonsil T1N2M0 HPV+ Never Smoker
First symptoms 7/2010, DX 12/2010
TX 40 IRMT (1.8 gy) + 10 Cetuximab
PET Scans 6/2011 + 3/2012 clear, 5 year physical exam clear; chest CT's clear of cancer. On thyroid pills. Life is good.
