Hi Everyone. I havent posted anything for awhile, though I have been reading a lot of threads hoping to find the answer to my problem. About a month and a half ago I started having a bit of pain on the bottom of my tongue (the left side where I had the cancer)and noticed that I had a white patch and the vein there was a little swollen. I saw my ENT Dr who said not to be concerned too much about it, he thought it was just tissue not healing right from the radiation, and prescribed some steroid cream. He said if it wasnt gone in 2 weeks he would do a biopsy. Well, 2 weeks later its still there so i had a biopsy. Thank God biopsy was negative but the darn thing is still giving me pain. Aleve seems to take care of the pain, but it is waking me up at night. Im seeing my RO next week so hopefully he will know what to do but in the meantime Im hoping someone here has had the same issue. Im still a little confused about what it is. Its kind of annoying because Im afraid to wear my partials because I think it will make it worse. Any thoughts? Thank you in advance.
Leslie

It kind like a leukoplakia - was it hardened at all? It's great it's negative for cancer ! But definitely have it checked out again soon if it lest heal.. Take care - hope it heals soon.
