I unfortunately may have metastases to the lung, and understand the OCF mantra to biopsy before treatment. I also know that there is a risk of this procedure where the lungs can collapse.
Has anyone gone through this procedure or has any idea on how I would find the best physician(s) in the country to do this procedure?
Thanks, Chetan

I had no pain from that, just the inconvinience of having to stay in the hospital for three additional days.
My biopsy turned out "inconclusive". The location was in a hard spot with a blood vessel on one side and a bronchial tube hard on the other. The doctor knicked the blood vessel going in so he ended up getting three samples but only one had tissue (the other two were blood)the tissue sample came back negative for cancer so that was good but they prefer three good samples before declaring it conclusive.
We are going to keep an eye on the spots in the lungs to see if they change in size. Hope they will on the smaller side.
The procedure was not that bad and I should have been out of there the same day. Collapsed lung did not hurt at all so just the wait for it to reattach.
