When I lean my head forward my whole body goes numb, just for a second. I was wondering if any one has had this side effect.
Thanks,
Terry

Hi Terry, The numbness you describe is a common side effect of radiation. It will gradualy fade away over many months. Don't worry about it. smile

Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.

I had tingling/numbness in my upper torso, especially in my arms when I bent my head down.
The doctor said don't worry about it, it will
pass in a fews months. He was right.

Thanks,
I think it is called Lhermitte's Phenomenon. I did some checking on a couple of other sites.
