Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 9 | When I lean my head forward my whole body goes numb, just for a second. I was wondering if any one has had this side effect.

Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 1,384 Likes: 1 | Hi Terry, The numbness you describe is a common side effect of radiation. It will gradualy fade away over many months. Don't worry about it. 
Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.

The doctor said don't worry about it, it will
pass in a fews months. He was right.
